Logistics Leadership & Management Advancement Modules

Overview

The Logistics Institute of New Zealand offers a specialised suite of training modules designed to support middle managers aspiring to progress into senior leadership roles. These modules focus on core areas of leadership and management, including Strategy & Systems Thinking, Change Management, Collaboration, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, Social & Corporate Responsibility, Leadership Styles, People Management, KPI and Performance Management, and Lean & Agile Principles.

The programme is structured for flexibility and practical application. Participants can choose to complete individual modules or follow the full suite. Typically, one module is undertaken per week, with each requiring between one and two hours to complete. The content is delivered in an engaging, interactive format that includes recorded conversations with subject-matter experts from New Zealand and Australia, and integrated quizzes, encouraging deeper reflection and interaction with AI-enhanced learning tools.

By engaging with these modules, individuals gain a well-rounded leadership skill set. They learn to think strategically, lead with emotional intelligence, manage people and processes effectively, and foster innovation and collaboration. This module teaches how to set, track, and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success. It helps managers align team goals with business objectives, drive accountability, and improve overall performance.

This module introduces key concepts of Lean and Agile thinking, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and fostering adaptability. It helps learners deliver value faster and respond effectively to changing customer and business needs.
